[Report] Since the spread of the coronavirus pandemic (covid-19), Cybercriminals have been abusing it to trick users into interacting with masqueraded malicious files which leads to breaches and data leakages; Malware team at EG-CERT spotted and analyzed one of these malicious campaigns that spread in the form of a coronavirus statistics excel sheet which if the user downloads and opens, It will download and install a RAT which an attacker can use to control the user’s machine and leak his/her data , Please find the report attached here

It is extremely important not to open files sent from unknown resources, and do not accept any information regarding the coronavirus  for non official resources such as the ministry of medicine and the world health organization official websites.
